"Just completed a 4 day float/fishing trip on the Talachulitna River with FishHound Expeditions. Very experienced guides with all the gear and knowledge. Top quality rafts, tents, sleeping pads, and dry bags. Food was freshly prepared and gourmet quality, including some wild meats. Caught numerous King Salmon, more Rainbows than we could count, and Grayling too. Adam (guide/co-owner) was great at teaching us to cast a two handed rod. Nice after tiring out on single handed fly casts. Dave (guide/co-owner) is an exceptional chef and storyteller. Price point is within reach for those who want a truly exemplary wilderness experience in a remote location."

"I've been on a number of trips guided by the guys at FishHound Expeditions. If I was stranded in the wilderness, I'd want it to be with them. They go all out to make you as comfortable as possible in bad weather, they work hard to put you in the right positions to catch fish, and amaze you with the meals they are able to prepare out on the river.
Besides that, they are first rate guys in the boat and around camp."

"Adam Cuthriell has guided my husband and I on Lake Creek and American Creek. I have had numerous guides but Adam stands out with his passion for nature and guiding anglers as they enjoy themselves fishing in the deep Alaskan wilderness. One evening on Lake Creek Adam patiently taught me how to cast with a spey rod. Within two casts I caught a nice silver salmon. It was a blast. His knowledge with wild animals gives me a sense of security which is important from a women's perspective and I learned how to fish comfortably with grizzly bear fishing across the river. This is truly an Alaskan Adventure and stretches the city folk to the max. I call him Grizzly Adams!"- Kristen Sorensen

"Adam and team really know how to differentiate themselves from everyone else! Everyone appreciates that fishing in Alaska is an extraordinary experience but it’s that much more special when you’re guided by pros who genuinely care about the client. It’s a tough job being a guide and therefore, it can become fatiguing. But this is where Adam excels, keeping focused on both big and little needs of each and every one of the people on the trip. In spite of the long hours and hard work (and on occasion, foul weather), Adam continues to deliver unprecedented customer service. You return home having an amazing fishing experience coupled with an extraordinary sense of comfort and safety. Thanks, Adam, you’re the absolute best!
